About the event

In December 2018, an agreement between the sport science department of the University of Naples, Parthenope, the ARTUR association and the FIJLKAM (Italian Federation for Judo Karate and Martial Arts) has led to the organization of the International Workshop. The event is the result of a continuous research and cooperation about health and risk prevention, that involves academic researchers and coaches from different European Countries. The event will host different national and international lecturers, that have been working for years in the field of physical activity for health prevention, as in the field of sport for social and cultural development. Given the importance of the topic, it has been planned a 2 day event. The first day will be totally dedicated to scientific research. The second day will be dedicated to the practice of sports activities, including martial arts, thanks to the participation of Olympic and World champions. The main goal is to sensitize participants, coaches, students and sport scientists to the importance of considering physical activity a powerful tool to prevent health risk and socially dangerous behaviours.

Who is the event for?

The event is open. We invite all those working in the field of physical activity, health prevention, health and well-being, health and social care and sport science.
